Synth metal - Synth metal is a "soft" genre of metal strongly influenced by the sounds, forms and fashion of 1980s synth pop, characterized by a greater prominence of synthethizers as opposed to guitars. Although guitars are present in synth metal, they are only used with in a clean and bright style, leaving synthesizers at the focus.

Exotic Birds - The Exotic Birds was a pop music group formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1983 by three Cleveland Institute of Music percussion students, Andy Kubiszewski, Tom Freer and Tim Adams. They wrote their own music and were described as synth pop, techno-pop and techno-dance.

The New Rock Project - The New Rock Project is the name of an electronica band, founded in summer 2005 by Elliott Berry.It is most often described as synth-pop and synth-rock, but it has roots in garage rock, alternative, industrial, and dark wave.

Fosca - Fosca is a British indie band, combining indie pop songwriting with synth pop instrumentation.
